Employment

We are currently seeking applicants for the following areas:
  • Intensive In-Home Staff:
    Augusta County/Waynesboro, Danville, Harrisonburg (specifically seeking bilingual/Spanish-speaking clinicians), New River Valley, Roanoke, and Rockbridge areas

  • Clinicians with Autism Spectrum Disorder experience (or clinicians who are willing to train to work with these clients):
    Augusta County, Charlottesville, Danville, Richmond, and Roanoke areas

  • Licensed Staff:
    Danville and Rockbridge areas (though licensed applicants are encouraged to apply at any location)

Training and Supervision

The League of Therapists is devoted to providing excellent training. We offer group supervision using videotaped client sessions, live supervision, and team coordination with a primary trainer as well as individual supervision. We provide a variety of workshops, and offer free supervision for licensure and BCBA to our employees. We welcome both new clinicians with a desire to learn and experienced clinicians who remain open to learning. Candidates must have energy, a desire to learn, and relational and organizational skills. License is preferred.

Qualifications and Applications

Applicants for Intensive In-Home,Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Therapeutic Day Treatment positions must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Counseling, or Special Education and at least one year of clinical experience providing direct behavioral health services to children and/or adolescents with mental illness.

Applicants for Mental Health Support Services positions must have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Special Education, Counseling, or Human Services Counseling AND at least one year of clinical experience providing direct behavioral health services to individuals with mental illness, intellectual disability, or who are receiving gerontology or special education services. Applicants must have experience in the specific field that they are working and must have experience developing and implementing individual service plans.

Educational Loan Repayment Opportunities
The Danville, New River and South Central offices of the League of Therapists are Approved Sites for the National Health Service Corp (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program and the National Health Service Corps Scholars Program. The NHSC recruits a variety of primary care, dental, and mental health providers to serve communities in need. Approved applicants can receive between $30,000-$60,000 for outstanding education-related loans over a 2-4 year period.

Any League of Therapists location can serve as an internship site for students completing advanced degrees in the mental health field.
