
Therapeutic Day Treatment offers:
- Behavioral training
- Adaptive functioning skills - learning, socializing and communicating
- Strength, confidence, and self-esteem building
- Independence and work ethic building
- Bridge between home and school
- Clinical support to parents and family
Coordination of other services to increase adaptive and communication skills
Eligibility for Services
There is no cost to the student or family if the student is eligible for Therapeutic Day Treatment. If the student answers yes to these questions, then s/he may be eligible:
- Does student have Medicaid/FAMIS?
- Is student under 18 years of age (21 if still in high school)?
- Does the student have a Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED)?
- Is the student at risk of out of school placement and require indivdualized behavioral management and therapeutic support during the school day to access the curriculum?

Communication is Key
Timely and effective communication between school and home, and among the school staff benefits the student's educational and behavioral development. Therapeutic Day Treatment takes communication seriously.
To monitor progress, ongoing needs, and concerns, we offer:
- Daily/monthly/quarterly progress reports for each student.
- Daily/weekly updates with teachers.
- Weekly updates with the principal, school counselors, and case managers.
- Monthly/quarterly written progress reports for the principal, school counselors and case managers.
- Monthly written progress reports for the parents and/or caregivers.
- Monthly home visits with parents and/or caregivers to receive feedback
Individual Student Planning
Each student is offered:
- Assessment of academic needs, risk of self/others, relations with others, and relations with parents and/or caregivers.
- A written Individual Service Plan for the student's personal goals, objectives, and development within 20 calendar days of first service.
- Individualized behavioral management and therapeutic support during the school day from a staff.
- Documentation of student's progress, ongoing needs, and concerns.
- Regular communication between school, program staff, and student's family to promote the exchange of feedback and collaboration.
